Couples who share their loved-up moments and vacations online often make some people think it is all rosy in marriage but the truth remains that every perfect-looking marriage has gone through its own rough patches.

1.  2face and Annie Idibia: The legendary singer who is married to Annie has had rough times in the ten years of their marriage, especially with the case of the singer’s babymama, Pero Adeniyi, who often causes issue between the couple.

Annie and 2face earlier this year had a messy fight which led to the latter jetting out of the country to have peace of mind. Interestingly their love weathered all the storms as they celebrated their last wedding anniversary with a vow renewal

2. Bolanle and Bunmi Ninalowo: In 2017 Bolanle Ninalowo confirmed that he was separated from his wife after 12 years of being together in the US.

The actor in a recent interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwu, admitted to cheating on his wife in the early years of their marriage which led to their separation.

For a marriage that was shut down after 12 years, many still wondered how a reconciliation took place between the couple.

3. Olamide and Bukunmi Adedeji:  Nigerian singer, Olamide Adedeji, is married to his longtime girlfriend, Bukunmi Aisha but still got entangled in a cheating scandal.

In 2019, Olamide was rumoured to have impregnated media personality, Mariam Okanrede, which turned out to be true.

4. Jena Mena and Andrea Piles: Instagram dancer, Jena Mena, became a topic of discussion online after Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh, broke up with his Delta State politician boyfriend, Prince Kpokpogri.

Tonto claimed that Kpokpogri had sex tapes of many ladies he had dated in the past including Jena Mena.

Just when the Instagram dancer was daring Tonto to release the video, a voice note of Kpokpogri recounting how he sleeps with Jane Mena from morning till night popped online.

Amidst the controversy that trailed the audio, the couple remained together.

5. 9ice and Olasunkanmi Ajala: Nigerian singer, Alexander Abolore Adegbola Akande, popularly known as 9ice, made headlines in 2020 when a video of him kissing another woman surfaced online.

In the video, 9ice hugged the unidentified woman in a compromising manner and kisses her on the cheek.

The ‘Gongo Aso’ crooner later apologized to his wife, Olasunkanmi stating he made a terrible mistake and pleaded with Nigerians to help him beg his wife.

6. Sam and Ozioma Okposo: The cheating scandal of popular gospel singer, Sam Okposo, broke the internet in January 2022 when he publicly apologized to his wife, Ozioma for cheating on her with another lady in the United States.

While the scandal lasted, many thought that it would be the end of the singer’s marriage. But lo and behold! their union is still waxing stronger proving that ‘no scandal’ is capable of separating a couple that God has joined together.
